This is an initiative that aims to develop the educational activities of L'ETNO among the children admitted to the Paediatric Unit of the Doctor Peset Hospital (UPH Peset) to improve their emotional and affective state.
The staff of the Didactic Area of the museum and the medical staff of the hospital have selected the activities that can be carried out in the hospital facilities. L'ETNO provides all the necessary materials to carry them out.
The criteria for the selection of activities has been: manipulation, collaborative work or individual work, artistic development, the possibility of carrying out the work on different days, the use of construction materials that can be taken home at the end of the activity, etc.
Activities/workshops implemented:
- The pigeon, the waterwheel and the kite. Workshop on the construction of traditional Valencian toys.
- Traditional Valencian clothing. A game that allows you to get to know the clothes worn by Valencian men and women at the end of the 19th century through contact with the fabrics used and the different pieces that make them up.
- The vegetable garden game. A board game designed to raise awareness of the importance of water in the way of life of the farmers in the Valencian huerta areas.
