Information and consultation
Information and reference service. Through this service we offer users help and training in the use of the Library's consultation tools, as well as guidance in information searches.

Consultation in the reading room
All monographs and periodicals other than reference works (signature: *BETNO OR) and non-loanable publications (signature: BETNO NP) are freely accessible in the Library's reading room.
The space in the Library is limited, so it is very easy to find what you are looking for. All publications are labelled with a signature, which indicates their order among the rest. They are organised according to a specialised classification system used by the L'ETNO library, with each type distinguished as follows. These are the signatures that can be found in the catalogue:
• Monographs: classification number + author (first 3 letters) + title (first 3 letters)
• Brochures: BETNO C. no. / currens
• Periodicals: BETNO PP + current number + year
• Reference works: BETNO OR + currens
• Festival books: BETNO LF+ currens + year
• Electronic resources: BETNO RE + currens
Free internet access
The Library provides its users with free internet access through its Wi-Fi network throughout the reference room as well as connection points for laptops.
Loans and reprographics
External users of L’ETNO. Museu Valencià d'Etnologia can take out a maximum of three copies on loan for fifteen days, with the option of renewing it for a further fifteen days in person or by calling 963 883 623.
Periodical publications (BETNO PP), festival books (BETNO LF), reference works (BETNO OR) and non-loanable works (BETNO NP) are excluded from the loan.
We do not offer a public paid reprographic service. Restrictions and limitations for the reproduction of documents are motivated by the Intellectual Property Law.
Exchanges
The Museu Valencià d'Etnologia Library maintains library exchanges with museums, universities, town councils, study centres, private institutions, etc., from more than 24 countries as diverse as Switzerland, Italy, France, the United States, Poland, Mexico, the Czech Republic and Brazil, among others.
L'ETNO. Museu Valencià d'Etnologia disseminates the publications from its different collections through the interlibrary loan service managed by the Library. In turn, in this way we receive numerous publications from the collaborating centres with which we maintain this exchange policy.
