Humans are radically social beings. We are made in society... in a specific society with its geographical and historical specificities; and with its material culture. All the objects in L'ETNO speak of our society, but some speak to us more directly. Toys and school materials speak of gender roles, socialisation, education; tombstones, images or bells bring us closer to religiosity; urns, emblems or uniforms evoke ideologies and political organisation; musical instruments, bigheaded figures or sports material bring us closer to festivals, sport or leisure.
