Dryland and Mountain: The Invisibilities

There it is, but it is not visible

What is not visible is as important as what is seen, sometimes, even more. The Valencian people have not only been inhabitants of the barraques in the irrigated farmlands, as the cliché would have you believe. The biggest part of our territory is dryland and mountains. This has generated a specific culture, adapted to an enviroment which is not easy at all.

lts unique people and lifestyle have been invisible in the popular image. We talk about a forgotten territory, orphaned of traditional uses and activities, which has a minar role within future plans.
